Frequently Asked Questions

  • What type of clients do you accept?
We work with people who value our advice and time and are seeking a long-term working relationship. We welcome all types of clients, whether individual or married, sole proprietors to large corporations, as well as all types of families including military, LGBTQ+, and blended families. If you are looking for the cheapest attorney you can find, do not want to devote time to learning about and understanding your options, we are not the right law firm for you, and would be happy to refer you to a lawyer who may be a better fit.
  • Do you represent clients out of Florida?
We do represent clients in other states in these areas: - Tax Preparation - Trademarks - Business Formation
  • Do you charge for consultations?
Depending on the area of law, yes. Our consultation process is a little different than most law firms. When you first contact our office, you will do a free intake call to get some upfront information and for us to learn more about you and your case/project. If we accept you as a client, we will set up your consultation time. At the consultation, you will meet with our attorney, who will give you legal advice on your legal issue, break down our processes, and discuss our fees. We do charge for our consultations, but we use the time to provide you with as much value as we are able: you will end the session armed with answers, a strategy, next steps, a priority list, an education, referrals for outside services you may need, and a transparent price. This is what separates us from the rest of law firms.
  • How much will it cost?
Every situation is different, so our prices vary. We make sure that the billing and pricing meet your individual needs. We believe we’re selling solutions, not time, so we do the majority of our projects on a flat fee basis. That way, even if your issue takes longer than expected, you aren’t caught with a surprise bill and are able to budget for the cost. Depending on the legal issue, we may also recommend an upfront retainer for hourly work, or a subscription plan.o Every situation is different, so our prices vary. We make sure that the billing and pricing meet your individual needs.
  • What if I can’t afford it?
We passionately believe that legal fees should never be a bar to retaining the legal help you need. We will work with you to create a plan that suits your ability. If you still feel it’s outside your budget, we are happy to refer you to other lawyers or associations who may be able to help. We offer in-house payment plans and payment plans via Affirm. We also accept ARAG legal insurance on certain matters.
  • Do you accept ARAG Legal Plans?
Depending on the matter, we do accept ARAG Legal Plans. Please reach out to us at hello@geffrard.com or text us at 863-535-8184 to confirm coverage.

Hourly Billing

Some projects don’t fit into our flat fee or subscription models, so for those projects, we’ll recommend traditional hourly billing. Hourly billing is best for projects with an unpredictable scope, such as contract review, legal research, or negotiation with a third party. If hourly billing is necessary, we will still give you an estimate upfront and will keep you updated throughout the project, so you won’t be caught by surprise with the final bill. We will always ensure that your project is handled by the most competent ABL representative at the lowest appropriate price point, so your bill remains reasonable, but your needs are still met at the highest standards.

Contingency Fee

We offer contingency fee billing in personal injury law cases. A contingency fee is a payment arrangement where the attorney's fees are contingent upon the outcome of the case. In this model, clients do not pay us upfront but rather agree to give a percentage of the final settlement or court award if the case is successful. So we only get paid if we win the case.

Monthly Subscription

Our clients can enjoy ongoing legal assistance for a fixed monthly fee, ensuring they have access to expert advice whenever they need it, without the worry of unpredictable costs. Whether you're a business owner seeking proactive legal counsel or an individual looking for ongoing support, our subscription billing model offers flexibility and transparency, allowing you to budget effectively while receiving top-notch legal services tailored to your needs. Join us in embracing a new era of legal representation, where affordability and quality go hand in hand.
